A Week of Firsts…

Today Logan is 3 months old (1 month adjusted).  Wow, it’s hard to believe how fast time passes by.  He’s started to smile more and is making more cooing noises now.  When Wes and I weighed him on our scale at home, we estimated his weight to be about 12.5 lbs!  He’s definitely growing fast.  He won’t have an official weight and height check for another month.

Logan had a very busy week this week, trying to fit in all sorts of new things before he turned 3 months.

Logan started daycare on Tuesday.  He eased into it starting his first two days as 1/2 days, with his first full day on Thursday.  He spent a long weekend with mommy and daddy because the whole family took Friday off.  Logan did great at daycare.  He enjoys music, the swing, and the bouncy seat.  His caregivers say he is a good baby and sleeps most of the day.  On Tuesday, Logan received his first boo boo report.  He scratched his right cheek with his finger nails.  Since then mommy has been careful to check his nails every day to make sure they are trimmed.

Logan slept through the night for the first time on Thursday night!  He slept for 8 hours straight from 9pm to 5am, and then went to sleep for another 2.5 hours after eating.  It was a great night for mommy!

On Saturday, Logan went for his first lunch out with mommy and daddy.  We all went to Ruby Tuesdays and Logan was an excellent lunch date.  He was either sleeping or sitting quietly in his car seat the entire meal.  However, by the time we were finished he was eager to leave and let out a cry or two.

On Sunday, Logan went on his first walk with mommy, daddy, and Wrigley around the neighborhood.  He enjoyed the time outside and took it as an opportunity to get some extra sleep.

Tomorrow Logan starts his first full week of day care.  Hopefully mommy will handle the transition well.  Logan doesn’t seem to mind daycare, and is always tuckered out when he gets home at the end of the day from all the fun he is having!

So glad to hear that all is going well!! YAY for sleeping thru the night too. That’s great. :)

Kendyl turned 9 months old last week and we have her 9 month appt today. Not looking forward to shots, but anxious to see her growth, even though she’s still a little peanut. She should be somewhere b/t 15 and 16 lbs.

Yea Logan for sleeping thru the night! Izzie has decided that she wants to go back to getting up. 5 of the last 7 nights she woke up around 3:00. The other 2, she woke up at 5:30, which is still too early for me.

What a nice family. How wonderful that you actually had a full eight hours of sleep! Can’t wait to see all of you in a couple of weeks.
